LIVING LEARNING LEADING
The Engineering Village strives to amplify First Year Engineering goals of retention, academic success, career and professional development through an enriched and transformative co-curricular residential experience for students to affect a purposeful transition to NC State, the College of Engineering, their chosen discipline and the global community.
By committing to this residential experience, the Engineering Village will:
Provide students with opportunities to learn more about Engineering Disciplines to assist with the CODA process.
Expose students to opportunities in the College of Engineering and profession to make informed decisions regarding their career path.
Improve students’ critical and creative thinking skills to solve complex problems.
Provide opportunities to develop relationships supporting the students’ transition to NC State and the College of Engineering.
Gain an appreciation for STEM outreach and service through experiential learning opportunities to further the interest of K-12 in STEM fields and improve the community.
Provide a safe environment where students have fun while they learn
